Installation Service: UUFS will celebrate the installation of its minister, the Reverend Nina Irene Kalmoutis.
The installation service is a recognition of the fact that a new minister is officially settled in a church or a fellowship. The rite of installation symbolizes the bond between the minister and the congregation as well as between the minister and the wider community.
The Reverend Bonnie Dlott, minister of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of North Bay (Napa), will speak at Reverend Kalmoutis's installation.

Friday Night Flick - “Hurt Locker”: Here's the Iraq War movie for those who don't like Iraq War movies. Kathryn Bigelow directs this gripping drama following one of the U.S. Army's elite EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) teams operating in the ferocious war zone of Iraq. As the squad identifies and dismantles improvised explosive devices and other bombs, they must also contend with the frayed nerves and internal conflicts that arise from living in constant peril. This movie gives us a sense of what it’s like to be in Iraq while exploring the ways that three distinct individuals cope with life in a war zone.
Three big Academy Award nominations: Best Picture, Best Director - Kathryn Bigelow, Best Actor - Jeremy Renner.
Join us for a thought-provoking movie and fresh popcorn with a discussion afterwards. “Hurt Locker” is rated R.

Passover Seder: The RE Committee is again hosting this memorable event. Not only is this an opportunity to learn about and experience an important Jewish holiday, but it brings us together in community to share an age-old tradition and wonderful meal together. All are welcome. $10 for adults, $5 for children 3 and older. Sign up through the church office at uufs@sbcglobal.net or (408) 739-0549 and mail in your check no later than Sunday, March 28th. NCUUCC Spring Thing at Asilomar – April 2010: Come to a weekend in the beautiful seaside setting of the Asilomar Conference Grounds on the tip of the Monterey Peninsula. It is a relatively unstructured gathering of about 40 UUs and friends. The days are free for your own activities, exploring the Monterey area, with conversation and games in a friendly atmosphere in the evenings.
